PETITION – RE-OPEN THE BEDS FOR MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS IN EALING

We, the undersigned, believe the shortage of mental health provision for adults and for children in Ealing is totally unacceptable.

Since 2010 national cutbacks have closed 6000 beds for adult mental health patients and around 70 of those were in Ealing, so there are now no beds in Ealing for adult psychiatry patients.

According to the Children’s Commissioner Ealing is near the bottom of the league in provision of help to children in a mental health crisis. – There are NO beds for these children in Ealing.

We call on the NHS West London Trust and the North West London CCG to urgently draw up plans to supply Ealing with beds and proper mental health provision for both groups and call on Ealing Council and MPs to help make this a priority issue.
